PROJECT FOCUSED

During her first term, Liz continues to work closely with LCG Public Works and citizens of District 8 to address critical flooding concerns and road projects. She established Lafayette’s first Safe Exchange location for online purchases and created the “Adopt a Stop” program, a public/private partnership to get all bus stops in Lafayette covered. She has also worked with Republic to get all plastics recycled, not just 1 & 2.

ACCESSIBLE & APPROACHABLE

Liz maintains a highly visible and active role on social media, including each private neighborhood Facebook pages and attending Annual HOA Meetings. She attends multiple speaking engagements to keep local citizen organizations updated and informed.

RESPONSIVE & INFORMATIVE

Liz writes and sends a monthly email newsletter updating subscribers on current issues. She maintains a 12-hour email and phone call return policy and performs weekly drives through District 8 to look for any issues such as litter and pot holes that may need to be reported, with over 8,100 Service Requests submitted to LCG over the past three years.

Liz Webb Hebert is a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette Parish with a history of civic leadership and active public service. She is a graduate of Northwestern State University and Teurlings Catholic High School.

Liz is the Director of Business Development at Surgery Partners and currently serves as Councilwoman of District 8 for the Lafayette City-Parish Council where she was recent Chairman for the LPUA (Lafayette Public Utility Authority). Liz currently sits on the board of directors for Leadership Institute of Acadiana and Acadiana Animal Aid. She has also served on the board of the 705 Young Professionals, is a past president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana and has served as president of her homeowners’ association for 8 years.

Hebert was recognized in 2013 as one of the Daily Advertiser’s “Top 20 Young Professionals under 40”, the Independents 2015 “Influencer of the Year” and ABIZ 2016 “Trailblazer of the Year” for Women Who Mean Business Awards. She was awarded the “Women of Excellence” award in 2018 by the Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women. Liz is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette, Class XXIII in addition to serving as chairman of Leadership Lafayette and Junior Leadership Programs.

She is married to Aaron Hebert of Lafayette. They have two dogs, Lady and Batman.
